I remember when Lauren Nelson asked me on my News 9 interview, “what are you looking forward to most?” I told her that I couldn’t wait to get into the schools…and now that I’ve been in the schools and on the go almost non stop I realize that I was exactly right. I absolutely LOVE the school visits! Traveling all over the great state of Oklahoma, especially during this time of year is truly a blessing. I have really enjoyed meeting so many different students and getting the opportunity to hear their unique stories. This really is a once in a lifetime experience.

Betty, I feel privileged to have had you as my “student teacher” for ten weeks. It was easy to tell how much you love the kids, and you have no idea how excited I was when I heard you had been crowned Miss Oklahoma. Best wishes at the national level! No matter what, you’ll make Oklahoma proud.
