Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of Americans during the last week of October every year. By wearing red ribbons and participating in community anti-drug events, young people pledge to live a drug-free life and pay tribute to DEA Special Agent Enriqué “Kiki” Camarena.

This week I’ll be in schools placing even larger emphasis on drug and alcohol awareness and prevention than I do in a typical school visit. This week I’ll be participating in Red Ribbon Week at Olive Pubic Schools, Norwood Public Schools, Wanpanucka Public Schools, Colbert High School, Durant Public Schools, Washington Irving School, Northwest Heights Elementary, and Holmes Elementary. Busy but   amazing week ahead. So blessed to be Miss Oklahoma 2011!
