I’m back home on the family farm for the weekend, just in time for all of these crazy storms to roll through. It has been like a monsoon all day, and the house sounded like it was going to blow away. When it let up for a little while I took the truck out to check on everything. I found that our pond and creek had completely flooded out of their banks, making our pecan grove/far pasture look like a small fishing lake. Our cows of course, were right in the middle of it all…but luckily the dog was swimming out to bring them back on high ground! The water goes all the way out across the road where a truck was already stranded in the flood waters. It’s been quite the eventful day!
