Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of Americans during the last week of October every year. By wearing red ribbons and participating in community anti-drug events, young people pledge to live a drug-free life and pay tribute to DEA Special Agent Enriqué “Kiki” Camarena.

This week I’ll be in schools placing even larger emphasis on drug and alcohol awareness and prevention than I do in a typical school visit. This week I’ll be participating in Red Ribbon Week at Olive Pubic Schools, Norwood Public Schools, Wanpanucka Public Schools, Colbert High School, Durant Public Schools, Washington Irving School, Northwest Heights Elementary, and Holmes Elementary. Busy but   amazing week ahead. So blessed to be Miss Oklahoma 2011!

    Betty,

My name is Rhonda Ensley of Valliant, OK. I am a second grade teacher in Valliant Public Schools. My family and I love OSU, too! Both of my sons graduated from OSU. You may know my youngest son, Kyle Ensley. He is a good friend to your brother, Nathan. We love Nathan. They were in the Farmhouse Fraternity at the same time. I would love for you to come to Valliant and speak to our elementary school about the milk products and the exercising that is so important to their bodies. Some children have never been taught the correct way to eat, exercise, and how to lead a healthy and happy life. Please let me know if you could help us out in this area. We would love to have you. You could possibly change some of their lives at such a great age. I look forward to hearing from you. By the way, Kyle is in now. He went and visited Nathan in Edmond a few weeks ago. Have a great day!

      Hi Rhonda,
I always heard Nathan talking about Kyle and had the opportunity to be around him quite a bit in FarmHouse, he is a great guy!
I would love to come to Valliant School whenever I can. My program, “The Road to Success” covers setting goals, making good decisions (i.e. healthy lifestyle, eating right, exercise, drug/alcohol prevention) and self-respect. My director, Kay Alexander schedules all of my appearances and school visits. If you will email her at mop8908@aol.com she can get Valliant on the calendar.
Thank you so much for thinking of me and I hope to meet you soon!
      Betty
